Delete your DaySpeak account
You can delete your DaySpeak account and request deletion of your cloud-synced journal data. This page explains how.
Delete in the app
Where supported, you can delete your account directly in the DaySpeak app. The usual path is:
- Profile → Privacy & Lock / Account → Delete Account.
Follow the prompts to confirm. Deletion is permanent, so make sure you have exported anything you want to keep first.
Delete individual entries or specific data
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove content. You can delete individual journal entries and their related content directly in the app, without deleting your account.
To request deletion of specific data, email support@dayspeak.app from the email address associated with your DaySpeak account, so we can verify the request.
If you cannot access the app
If you are unable to open the DaySpeak app, you can request deletion by emailing support@dayspeak.app from the email address associated with your DaySpeak account, so we can verify the request.
What deletion may include
Depending on how you used DaySpeak, account deletion may include:
- Your account information.
- Cloud-synced journal text.
- Cloud-synced photos and videos.
- Related journal metadata.
- Gentle AI insights, where applicable.
What may remain for a limited time
Some information may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, security records, purchase records, or records we are required to keep for legal or operational reasons. These are retained only as long as needed and then removed in the normal course.
Subscriptions are separate
Deleting your DaySpeak account or uninstalling the app does not cancel subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play. You must cancel a subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
